Neuro physiotherapy, also known as neurological physiotherapy or neurorehabilitation, is a specialized branch of physiotherapy focused on the evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of individuals with neurological conditions or injuries that affect the nervous system. It aims to optimize movement, function, and quality of life for people with neurological impairments.

Neuro physiotherapists work with individuals who have a wide range of neurological conditions, including but not limited to:

  1. Stroke: Rehabilitation for individuals who have experienced a stroke, helping them regain mobility, balance, coordination, and independence in daily activities.

  2. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI): Rehabilitating individuals who have suffered a brain injury, addressing motor impairments, cognitive difficulties, balance problems, and functional limitations.

  3. Spinal Cord Injury (SCI): Working with individuals who have experienced damage to the spinal cord, assisting in restoring movement, strength, and function below the level of the injury.

  4. Multiple Sclerosis (MS): Managing the symptoms of MS, such as muscle weakness, spasticity, balance problems, and fatigue, to improve mobility and overall function.

  5. Parkinson’s Disease: Providing therapy to individuals with Parkinson’s disease to manage motor symptoms, improve balance, enhance coordination, and address gait abnormalities.

  6. Peripheral Nerve Injuries: Rehabilitating individuals with peripheral nerve injuries, such as brachial plexus injuries or peripheral neuropathies, to restore sensation, strength, and function.
